Bold and bountiful colour was prevalent at the design
inspirations section of Maison & Objet. Call it a respite
from the gloom of the global financial crisis or a rebellion
against an era of muted colour, the use of colour was bold and
brave.
Amongst the more intriguing exhibits was Jean Boggio for
Franz. Jean is a well known French designer collaborating
with Franz Porcelain to create a range of furniture and porcelain
that incorporate the culture of ancient oriental porcelain with
contemporary flair. To find out more visit www.franzcollection.de.

Another to catch my eye, was Michael Sieger's visual concept for
Wiesmann's Roadster MF3 Final Edition Sportscar. The final
release of this limited edition sports car is titled "Colour
Collection" and comprises 18 unique colour combinations
"transforming the Roadster into a Road Star". The colours are
bold and defined down to the smallest detail - even the speedometer
and rev counter! These cars are handmade to order and are
strong on character.
