Thanks to all of you that visited our "Reveal" exhibition at
Urbis Design Day. We were blown away by the number of people
that came to witness "Reveal" and all of the
"wow" comments.
Our conceptual exhibit entwining Luxaflex's incredibly
innovative automatic blinds, with Taylor Boutique's aptly
titled "Reveal" winter fashion collection and the edgy
furniture from our hugely talented designers -
Fletcher Systems, Neal Smith, Noho, Workroom, Belle and
Echo. Being addicted to NZ Design (as we are) it was a major
buzz working with like-minded local designers Taylor and
Luxaflex.
Here's what some of the commentators had to say about it
....
"The "Best Furniture/Fashion/Food" Award goes to the
collaboration of Taylor Clothing, Antipodes Furniture and Luxaflex
with their "Reveal" installation. There was beautiful furniture
from Workroom and Jamie McLellan (an amazing knuckle jointed lumber
stool), as well as Antipodes' own pieces. The models walked the
room between the Luxaflex blinds dropping and raising
automatically." -

"All was revealed on Urbis Designday at the Antipodes Design
Store. New Zealand fashion designer Vicki Taylor of Taylor Boutique
worked with architectural blind company Luxaflex and Antipodes to
create a carefully orchestrated fashion show. In the adjoining
room, Antipodes design pieces were on display with visitors eagerly
checking out some of the best Kiwi designs, and enjoying French
crepes, made while one waited. Some might say three's a crowd, but
in this instance, the three creative collaborators pulled together
to make an inspiring installation that showed the best design
elements of all three." - Urbis
