Velvets - Spoilt for Choice.

One of the greatest lessons from my recent visit to several of D&F's European suppliers was that Velvets rule the world! When it comes to the D&F collection, you are absolutely spoilt for choice.

Our Belgravia sofa looks a picture in Jazz velvet by Decortex Firenze.  The cushions in Lewis & Wood's Joseph and Schumacher's Gainsborough add more spice to this setting.

Rooksmoor velvet by Lewis & Wood - A rainbow collection of 16 sumptuous 100 per cent Cotton Velvets, these rich velvets work cleverly with the Lewis & Wood portfolio. The extensive collection ranges from a hot, deep orange Marmalade to a sublime turquoise blue we have called Marmara. There is something here for everyone and the lush velvet pile is a joy to touch.

Joseph velvet by Lewis & Wood - The fashionable Velvet revival sees one of its most dynamic and stunning interpretations with a striking and arresting floral design which comes in a rich and tawny brown and a hot and colourful blue toned colourway. Perfect for creating what we like to call 'heirloom upholstery' this is a delicious statement fabric which is guaranteed to both lift the spirits and throw instant colour and texture into a room.

Habana by Gaston Y Daniela - A 50:50 blend of cotton and viscose, Habana velvet is Gaston Y Daniela's top selling fabric world wide.  It offers a broad colour palette blending more neutral tones with bolder pigments typifying Gaston's characteristic flair.

Saint Yago by Gaston Y Daniella - A striking geometric with plush viscose and cotton pile on a polyester backing.  Saint Yago is suited to drapery or upholserty in Amerillo, Azul, Verde, Rojo and Chocolate colourways.

Shock Wave by Schumacher - A luxurious silk velvet woven with an ombré chevron, Shock Wave is crafted in Italy at one of the finest silk mills in the world. The process is so painstaking that the looms produce just 8 meters of fabric a day. You can feel and see that effort in the supple hand of the fabric and in the way the raised velvet shimmers against its matte cotton ground.

Gainsborough by Schumacher - Since Schumacher was founded in 1889, this family-owned company has been synonymous with style, taste and innovation. Our collections are comprehensive, with an extraordinary range united by a respect for classicism, an eye for the cutting edge, and an unparalleled level of quality. A passion for luxury and an unwavering commitment to beauty are woven into everything they do.  Gainsborough velvet is no exception.
